ADAS Calibration

ADAS calibration is the process of testing and precisely aligning a vehicle's cameras, radar units, and other driver-assistance sensors so they interpret their surroundings correctly.

Also known as: Safety-system calibration; camera calibration; radar calibration

Why it matters in collision repair

A sensor that is only slightly misaligned may provide incorrect information to a safety system. Calibration requirements must be identified from OEM procedures and documented as part of the repair.

Collision-industry example

A shop performs a static calibration after replacing a front radar sensor and then completes the road test required by the manufacturer.
