Inference

Inference is the stage when a trained AI model processes new information and produces a prediction, classification, recommendation, or generated response.

Why it matters in collision repair

Every time an AI tool analyzes a new vehicle image, predicts claim severity, or drafts a response, it is performing inference using a previously trained model.

Collision-industry example

After training is complete, the damage model performs inference on a newly submitted bumper photograph and predicts the visible damage type.
